The team of Prof. Sabine Kirchmayr-Schliesselberger is seeking a pre-doctoral university assistant (prae doc) starting in August 2026 to support teaching and research in the field of tax law, with a particular interest in issues relating to tax law. The announcement is made for four years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of four years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.
Deine Aufgaben
- Finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months
- Participate in publications / academic articles
- Be involved in research projects and scientific studies
- Be involved in the organisation of conferences, meetings, symposiums
- Apply for projects and raise (external) funds
- Independent teaching of courses defined by the collective agreement
- Supervise students
- Participate in evaluation activities and in quality assurance
- Take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration
Dein Profil
- Master’s degree in law or an equivalent qualification completed
- Professional competence: Knowledge of especially Austrian tax law
- Methodological competencies: Jurisprudential methods
- Knowledge of principles of teaching
- High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
- Excellent command of written and spoken German
- High command of written and spoken English
- IT user skills
- Ability to work in team
